Form I-9 — Employment Eligibility
Every new employee completes an I-9 on or before their first day. Have your identity documents nearby, answer the questions, and submit — it takes about ten minutes.
Before you start
What to have ready.
- Your full legal name, address, and date of birth
- Social Security number
- A photo of your US passport or Permanent Resident Card — or a government-issued ID plus your Social Security card
- Your company name, if you already know it
